The school will be closed during the week of March 25 – 29, and on Monday, April 1. Classes resume on Tuesday, April 2.

Next Gen Homework Club

Every Wednesday from 3:30-5:30 in room 1204 (the Mac computer lab on the first floor), we have several tutors (math, science, social and ELA experts) come in to support kids who need some extra help.

Two Field Trip Opportunities for Students to Consider in April and May

If students want to know more about these trips and sign up, please see Ms. Blevins in the career centre.

CAREERS and the Alberta Aviation Council are hosting a field trip opportunity centered around an AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) skills competition in North East Calgary. Spaces are available on Monday April 29 (pm). 

Summary of event:

  • Fieldtrips will last for approximately 2.5 hours in total for the AME event and hangar tour at HeavyAero Aviation
  • Students will get to observe the AME competition and will be able to interact with participants
  • There will be hands-on activities including Virtual Reality, riveting, and using drones
  • There will be industry booths with representatives from the aviation industry

Trip to Olds College – Discovery Day, May 15, 2024​
The event is from 10:00AM - 3:00PM on the Olds College campus. 

Discovery Day is an opportunity for your students to explore everything that Olds College of Agriculture & Technology has to offer. Students will get the opportunity to explore our programs and tour our facilities and residence through four different demonstrations and information sessions. Attendees can also enjoy a free lunch and take advantage of free applications during the event! 

Exams in Resource Room

Students need to see Ms. Dunlop in room 3518 by Thursday, April 11, if they would like to write their exam(s) in a smaller setting. They must meet the following criteria: require this support, have an IPP, have utilized the Resource Room in this semester, may need to utilize speech-to-text or text-to-speech technology for the exam. This is not guaranteed for all students. Please have them stop by Resource to chat with Ms. Dunlop.
