Important notes for students:
- Leave your cellphones/smart watches at home and DO NOT bring them to the Comp Labs/Exam Centre. If a cellphone is spotted on a student – it will be confiscated and the contravention will be written up.
- Most of the contraventions occur when students are rushing in late, due to increased stress. Prepare, leave on time and these lapses in judgement will not occur.
- No one in the school will be responsible for holding any phones/smart devices. If a student happens to bring their phone/smart watch – they can put it in their lockers. We will also have tokens, which can be used to lock the tiny lockers (can hold a cell phone) by the PE office. NOTE: If either a teacher or someone from the Main Office holds a device for someone – students will be asked to UNLOCK IT once they pick it up, so that we have extra assurance that it belongs to them.
- Return your textbooks early so that you only have ID, pencil, eraser, pen, and a calculator. Water bottle and snack bags must be clear if you choose to bring such items.
- Vretta has build in digital dictionary and a thesaurus. School also has paperback dictionaries and thesauruses. DO NOT bring your own dictionaries, thesauruses or data booklets – another instance of contravention.
- Rough work is to be placed inside the Diploma Booklets. There is official Alberta Education lined and blank paper that students can use it when they need more paper.
- If Calculators are involved, please remind them of which ones are approved and what they need to do once they get reset.
