James Fowler High School Graduation Activites
All graduating students need to pay the $70.35 grad fee in order to attend the graduation ceremony. Please log into MyCBE fee payment account (https://sis.cbe.ab.ca/public/home.html) to make payment.
Graduation Ceremony
- The Graduation Ceremony will be held at the Jubilee Auditorium on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 starting promptly a 2:30pm.
- Students must be on the April 20th FINAL Graduand List to participate.
- Tickets will be available for purchase online through Ticketmaster, Thursday, April 27th at 10am. https://www.ticketmaster.ca/event/11005E91928F2461 Families may purchase up to 6 tickets for the ceremony, tickets are $2.50 each (graduates do not require a ticket).
- If needed, a second round will occur for additional ticket purchase on Monday, May 8th at 10am.
- Graduation gowns and v-stoles will be distributed starting at 1:00pm (on May 16th) from the lower level of the Jubilee Auditoriam.
- Students will be given a graduation cap that they may keep.
The Graduation Ceremony is a formal event and students will be expected to act in a way that aligns with the Student Code of Conduct. This includes, but is not limited to, choosing clothing that does not distract from the formality of the ceremony, and engaging in behaviours while crossing the stage that would also be deemed disruptive/distractive.
A mandatory Graduation Rehearsal will take place on Thursday, May 11th, during block 2 (10:30am-11:55am) at school, in the main gym. This will provide students with important information prior to both events and give them an opportunity to ask any last minute questions.
Graduation Banquet and Dance
- The Graduation Banquet and Dance will be held at the BMO Centre (Palamino Room) at Stampede Park on Thursday, May 18, 2023 from 6:00 until 11:30 pm (doors open at 5:30 pm).
- Ticket sales will begin on Monday, April 24th until Thursday, May 4th during lunch from the Falcon Feeder.
- The tickets cost $100 per person, payment can be in the form of cash/cheque or made at the business office with debit/credit.
- The banquet is a formal event consisting of a sit down buffet dinner offering beef/vegetarian/vegan options.
Note: The graduation banquet is a graduation event sanctioned by James Fowler High School. There will be no alcohol served or permitted on the premises.
